Abstract

The field book and loose note document the work of Charles L. Gazin in Utah and Wyoming, June 10 - August 29, 1940. The notebook states it documents the "1940 - Expedition to Utah and Wyoming," Acc. no. 156837. It contains a specimen list that details specimen number (1-149), description, collector (C.L.G., G.F.S., F.P.), date (June 10 - August 29), locality, and age. Locality description varies in length, and is sometimes very detailed. Localities include but are not limited to Dragon Canyon and Bridger Basin. Also included is a list of boxes shipped, including weight, dimensions, date, and specimen numbers. One map details arrangement of several specimens found together. One loose note indicates that pictures with R.W. Brown have been taken out.
