Abstract

The 7 black-and-white photographs document field work completed on Swains Island, April 1967. One photograph by Frank Smith shows the Jennings House. Three photographs by R. Chandler show a pile of coconuts, the grave sites of Eli Hutchinson Jennings and Malia Jennings, and a native hut. Three photographs by unknown photographers show a forested view of a lagoon, a trail through the forest, and a view of treetops with an unidentified bird in flight. The images have captions on the reverse side that list some or all of the following information: location, date, description, photographer, and negative numbers (211B-213B, 305, 311, 302, 974).
