Abstract

The 13 black-and-white photographs document field work completed on Palmyra Island, March 1967. Eleven photographs taken by R. Chandler show a coconut crab, a view of the airstrip, a building described as "quarters", and several coastline views of the island. Two photographs taken by Frank Smith show a Hawaiian Noddy Tern nesting in Pisonia trees and a view of a lagoon. The images have captions on the reverse side that list location, description, photographer, and negative numbers (338, 344, 348, 354-361, 959, 968). Some, but not all, images list a date in the caption.
