The 19 black-and-white photographs document field work completed on Jarvis Island, March 1967. Fifteen photographs taken by R. Chandler show a Great Frigate on nest with young, a dead Frigate, a landscape view of the island with a lighthouse and guano works in the distance, dead Lesser Frigates, a female Great Frigate displaying, Max Thompson, Phil Krisel and Frank Smith in front of IGY house, several coastline views from a lighthouse, an inland island view, a close up of flies on an orange, a close up of an unidentified spider on Red-footed Booby guano, and a Bluefaced Booby club. Four photographs taken by Frank Smith show male Great Frigatebirds displaying, Great Frigatebirds on nests and in flight, a female Great Frigatebird on a nest, and a male Great Frigatebird with chick. The images have captions on the reverse side that list location, date, description (some with directional details about views), photographer, and negative numbers (300, 304, 306-308, 310, 313, 319, 322, 323, 327, 330, 334-336, 947, 983, 999, 950).
