Abstract

The 7 black-and-white photographs document field work completed on Phoenix Island [Rawaki], April 1966. Two photographs by B. A. Harrington show a close up of a rabbit in vegetation and a Phoenix Island Petrel in flight. Five photographs by P. C. Shelton, dated April 15, 1966, show close ups of the Common Noddy Tern Immature, a Brown Booby nest with two eggs near the shoreline, a Fairy Tern in flight with a small fish in its beak, and a Bristle-thighed Curlew in flight. The images have captions on the reverse side that list location, description, date, photographer, and negative numbers (659, 530, 511, 503, 497, 235A, and 238A).
