Abstract

The correspondence documents communications with D. B. Burrows relating to oological collecting, 1899-1906. Correspondents are from across the United States, and content relates primarily to requests, purchase, exchange, and study of specimen sets. Several letters include lists of specimens, sometimes with A.O.U. number or common name of bird, and cost. Includes notecards from the U.S. National Museum acknowledging receipt of specimens with numbers: 28421, 27254, 26178, 29457. Some letters request details about birds found in Texas and Sonora, Mexico.
