The catalogue lists specimens collected by the US Exploring Expedition and received by the Philadelphia Museum, 1838 - 1842. The specimen descriptions vary, but some contain specimen information including number, specimen name, location (latitude and longitude positions or geographical location), description, quantity, and whether common where found. Includes copies of correspondence relating to shipments.
