Abstract

The correspondence documents communications with D. B. Burrows relating to oological collecting, 1891 -1906. Correspondents are from across the United States, and primarily relate to requests, purchase, exchange and study of specimen sets. Several letters include lists of specimens, sometimes with A.O.U. number or common name of bird, and cost. Several Letters are from W. H. Parker of Salt Lake City, Utah. One letter was written by Charles Emil Bendire (1891) from the U.S. National Museum, commenting and asking questions of Burrows about his observations of bird behavior, nest construction, and environment.
