Abstract

Notecards document the oological collection of D. B. Burrows, 1870-1898. Details include specimen identification (scientific and common name), A.O.U. no., date (day, month, year), collector, locality, identity (e.g. positive), incubation (e.g. fresh), nest composition, and number. Locality frequently includes geographical landmarks as well as name of nearby town, county, and state. Nest description provides information relating to location, vegetation, and sometimes measurements. Dates are not consecutive. Localities are across Texas and Illinois.
