Sections document collecting in vicinity of Nueces county, Texas, 1900; Marshall county, Illinois, 1901 - 1906; Sutton county, Texas 1907; southern Texas, 1908; Coryell county, Texas, 1909; and Texas, 1910. Entries are narrative in style and detail type of specimen (scientific name), identification number, locality (sometimes with landmarks), description of eggs, nest composition and location, observed bird behavior, terrain and vegetation, and remarks.
