Abstract

The two catalogs document birds collected by H. G. Deignan in Siam [Thailand], 1935-1937. The first volume includes a typed insert with biographical information on H. G. Deignan, followed by a list of dates and locations. The volume entries list specimen number, sex, binomial, location (sometimes elevation) date, and sometimes remarks. Remarks usually includes information about specimen preparation or physical appearance (e.g. color of iris, bill, and feet). Volume one covers specimens 1 - 1925, April 22, 1935 - November 14, 1936.|Volume two includes handwritten inserts with notes that appear to be location names listed in English and Thai. Also appears to include a brief itinerary for October 25 - November 5 [no year listed]. Volume entries list same type of information as volume one, and cover specimen numbers 1926 - 2690, November 18 1936 - May 14, 1937. Locations are across Thailand.
