Abstract

The field notes document the ornithological field work of Joshua F. B. Camblos in Virginia, February - April 1934. The field book is divided into two parts. First part (February - April) includes dated notes with descriptions of nests listing type of bird, area vegetation, collecting activity, as well as condition and appearance of eggs (with measurements). Second portion (April) is composed of dated narrative descriptions of nests of season which have been deserted. These entries document activities in the field, individuals with whom he collected, types of birds and wildlife seen, bird behavior observed, location, and appearance of nest.
