Abstract

The envelope of black and white photographs documents field work on Wake Island for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, c. 1963-1964. This is 3 of 5 envelopes. There is a typed, numbered list of descriptions for all 5 envelopes of images. There are captions on the reverse side of the photographs with limited information such as location and sometimes description. Images are numbered (61 -90). Subject matter includes island interior and coastline terrain, sometimes after vegetation removal, birds (Brown Booby, Noddy, Sooty Tern), nests, and eggs. Sometimes captions list bird type and age as well as vegetation type. Locations include Kuku Point, Wilkes Island, Flipper Point, and Peale Island.
