Abstract

The envelope of black and white photographs document field work on Wake Island for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, c. 1963-1964. This is 2 of 5 envelopes. There is a typed, numbered list of descriptions for all 5 envelopes of images. There are captions on the reverse side of the photographs with limited information such as location and sometimes description. Images are numbered (31-60). Subject matter includes views of island interior, coastline, and structures from various vantage points including from weather tower. Images show island vegetation. Some images include captions that list additional location information and type of vegetation.
