Abstract

The envelope of black and white photographs document field work on Wake Island for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, c. 1963-1964. This is 1 of 5 envelopes. There is a typed, numbered list of descriptions for all 5 envelopes of images. There are captions on the reverse side of the photographs with limited information such as location and sometimes description. Images are numbered (1-30). Subject matter includes views of island interior and coastline from various vantage points (including from aircraft and weather tower) as well as a Sooty Tern colony. Photographs are dated January 1964. Locations include Peale Island and Flipper Point.
