Abstract

The envelope of black and white photographs documents field work on Sand-Johnston Island for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, November 7, 1968. The label on the envelope indicates images are from roll BS. There is a note on a note card indicating the importance of pictures taken of study plots 1 - 6. There are captions on the reverse side of photographs that list date, time of day, location, direction, and description. Subject matter shows view of island terrain and detail images of birds (Brown Booby, Noddy). Some descriptions indicate landmarks in vicinity, presence and type of birds, and type of vegetation.
