Abstract

The envelope of black and white photographs documents field work on Sand-Johnston Island for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, July 25, 1968. The envelope indicates images come from roll BM. There are captions on the reverse side of the photographs that list date, location (including island landmarks), description, and photographer's initials. Subject matter includes island terrain with birds in vicinity, series of 13 images of island terrain, and numbered study plots. The image series was taken in a clockwise direction from utility pole by transmitter building. Images of numbered plots list the number, type, and age of birds present (Sooties).
