Abstract

The black and white photographs document field work on Sand Island for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, May 31, 1967, taken by B. A. Harrington. The captions vary in content. They include a combination of date, description (e.g. photo show earliest nesters (on vegetation) and late nesters (sand)), counts of bird populations (total adults, locals, nesting, eggs, dead chicks), plot number, time of day. Images document Sooty Terns at locations across the island and some photographs are numbered.
