Abstract

This item consists of the field notes of J.P. Tordoff from his work with the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey. The notes are from Southern Island Cruise #9, September 1965 and include Trodoff's daily accounts of the islands, and observations of birds (Petrels and Shearwaters, among others), vegetation, and other animals. The cruise visited Johnston Atoll, Howland Island, Baker Island, and McKean Island.
