The black and white photographs document field work on Sand Island as part of Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, January 14 - February 4, 1966. Images are numbered. Plot number and sometimes date and time of day are listed in the photographic image. Subject matter covers numbered plots, showing vegetation and terrain.
