PrintThese original photographs mounted on board and with captions pertain to Stejneger's extensive study of the fur seals of the North Pacific-Bering Sea area. The photographs show dead seals, seals being killed, and other images taken in Petropaulski (Kamchatka), North Rookery on Bering Island (officially Ostrov Beringa), and Glinka on Copper Island (officially Ostrov Mednyy). Some or all of these images may be published. Many of the photographs are dated August and September 1895.
