Abstract

The black-and-white photographs and photograph album pages document field work on Sand Island as part of Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, undated. Images are numbered; some have descriptions. Subject matter covers groups of birds in habitat, individual birds of various ages, structure (possibly antenna building) on island. Includes Sooty colony, aerial images of island showing USCG LORAN Station. The pages have pictures with captions for various types of birds (Shearwater, Sooty Tern, Brown Booby, Common Noddy) of various ages and structures including barracks and antenna building.
