Abstract

The black and white photographs document field work completed for Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program on Pearl and Hermes Atoll, August 28, 1967. The captions list location, description, date, photographer, and negative number. Photographs are by D. I. Hoff, R. B. Clapp, C. D. Hackman. Subject matter covers terrain (coastline, beaches), Hawaiian Monk Seals, flocks and individual birds of various types and ages (Brown Boobies, Great Frigatebirds, Red-tailed Tropicbird, Wedge-tailed Shearwaters, Black Noddies, Red-footed Boobies, Sooty Tern Petrel) in habitat, vegetation, eggs and nests, and campsites.
