Abstract

The field book includes notes on trees and shrubs relating to the Mexican Boundary line. The book is noted to be property of the International Boundary Commission. The volume begins with an index of notes listing type (binomial) and page number. Entries are headed with type, and include a narrative describing physical appearance, locations where found (geological landmarks and elevations), rarity / abundance, and information about related specimens (combination of type, number, collector). Locations are along the Mexican - U.S. border: San Jose mountains, Huachuca mountains, San Luis mountains, Sonora (Mexico), New Mexico (United States).
