Abstract

The black and white photographs documents field work completed during the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program on Lisianski Island, March 1965. Photographs were taken by William Wirtz. Images have captions on reverse side that include negative number, description, location, date, and photographer. Subject matter includes rocks along beaches, vegetation of interior, close up images of vegetation (type), sea turtle, Hawaiian Noddy on nest, seal pup, individual and groups of birds (Bristle-thighed Curlews), participants bringing supplies to the island and possibly preparing campsite.
