Abstract

The black and white photographs document field work completed during the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, 1962. Image captions include number, photographer, date, location and legend. Some descriptions are lengthy. Photographs were taken by David B. Marshall. Subject matter includes bird colonies (Laysan Albatross), detail images of various types of birds (White-capped Noddies, Laysan Ducks, Fairy Terns, Sooty Terns, Redtailed Tropicbirds, Laysan Albatross), monk seals of various ages, campsite of refuge inspection team, Army and Air Force camp noting type of vegetation in view, team planting seed of plant previously exterminated by invasive rabbit population.
