Abstract

The black and white photographs document field work completed during the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program on Kure Atoll, 1963 - 1964. Captions on the reverse side include location, description and date. Subject matter covers images of vegetation from various vantages and locations across the island including beaches, interior, and vegetation plots (with number). Images of vegetation plots also show process of setting up, marking, before and after, and participants at work, Birds are sometimes visible in images.
