Abstract

The black and white photographs are from 1965 and document field work completed during the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program. Captions on the reverse side list negative identifier, location, island, date, and description. Photographs were taken by A. B. Amerson, Jr. Subject matter includes participants at work (Larry Huber), individual and flocks of birds in habitat, abandoned Coast Guard structures, campsites, candid images of staff, aerial photographs of islands, equipment stored on ship. May include duplicates. Locations are across the French Frigate Shoals.
