Abstract

The 12 black and white photographs document terrain of Leeward Islands, 1930. There are captions on the reverse side of photographs detailing a combination of description, date, and photographer. Subject matter includes approach to Midway Island, seal on Grass Island, beach of Sand Island, USS Whippoorwill, collected crustacean, approach to Pearl and Hermes Reef, birds in habitat, and cable station at Midway Island. Photographs are by Paul S. Galtsoff.
