Abstract

The black and white photographs document Kwajalein Atoll, 1964, as part of the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program. There are captions on the reverse side of the images, listing location, date, and photographer. Images in envelope show aerial and oblique shots of island and identified individual (Ken Amerman). Photographs are by A. B. Amerson, Jr. Larger images show military facilities, remains of World War II buildings and damage to structures, aerial views, lagoon side of island, town on island, US Coast Guard Station, USNS Shearwater, marine life (ray, moray eel, baby green turtle), and vegetation.
