Abstract

Two envelopes of black-and-white photographs document observed wildlife on Christmas Island [Kiritimati], 1967 and undated, relating to the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program. Most images have captions in the reverse side including descriptions and location. Envelope 1 includes image of a blue-gray noddy chick and brown booby chick. Envelope 2 includes a series of images of a Fregata Minor chick taken over a series of days (e.g. 1 day old, 9, 18, 22, 25, 30 through 60 days old). There are also detail images of the development of bird's feathers including specific parts of anatomy from 60 days old to 140 days old. Additionally there are images of Sula Sula from egg, at 20 days, 35, 50, 60, 90, and 120 days.
