Abstract

20 black-and-white photographs show terrain, buildings, and wildlife across Baker Island, 1937 - 1938, 1948, and appear to all be dated. Images descriptions include negative number, date, date of cruise (12th), location, and source of photograph. Images were taken by Department of Interior, Coast Guard, and US Navy Bureau of Aeronautics. Subjects include frigate birds, structures, abandoned Loran station, a young booby, and 12th Cruise staff Coffin and Walsche.
