Abstract

Black-and-white images document the field work relating to the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, 1963 and undated. Images are in a variety of sizes; descriptions vary in detail. The folder includes three envelopes of images along with 8 x 10 prints, and twenty one images with descriptions and conversational captions. Subject matter varies widely. Images show portraits and candid images of participants (including Patrick Gould, Robert Fleet, Pat Elliot, Robert Clapp, Dr. Charles Ely, among numerous others); birds (type sometimes identified); views from ship at sea; participants employing methods of collecting; view from ship of ports. One envelope includes portraits of participants and possibly staff, with descriptions on the reverse side. Some photograph descriptions indicate they were taken by P. J. Gould.
