Abstract

The two notebooks document William Dunlop Brackenridge's botanical collecting efforts in Peru during United States Exploring Expedition Collection, 1838-1842. The notebooks are a list of observed plants across New South Wales, Australia. May include collected specimens. Details include name of the plant, physical description, location found, sometimes information about terrain (i.e. hills, ravine, mountains), and whether an introduced species. First notebook includes locations in the vicinity of Sydney, Newcastle, Illawarra, Bewin, and Botany Bay. The second notebook locations include Sydney and Illawarra.
