PrintThis item consists of the photocopied field notes of Dennis L. Stadel created during his work with the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey in 1964 and 1965. The field notes document Stadel's work counting, banding, and collecting birds on Johnson Atoll and Pearl and Hermes Reef. Represented to a lesser extent is Stadel's work observing and counting rats and seals. Interspersed with field notes are personal travel accounts and reflections. A catalog lists species names, numbers (0951-1047), physical descriptions, and occasionally measurements and geographic coordinates.
