Abstract

The note cards and images document trees and primates' social behaviors observed by Suzanne Ripley during 1969-1970, undated. Images are organized by type of behavior and tree types. Behavior types include: intertroop encounter, inter-species encounter, portraits, anatomy, penis, infant transfer, mother-infant carry, mother-infant suckling, mother-infant, mother @ 2 siblings off spring, mother-infant: weaning, catch the bus, paternal care, tree shape, compound. Tree types include Adina cordifolia [Haldina cordifolia], Alangium salviifolium, Alseodaphne semecarpifolia, Bauhinia racemosa, Bridelia retusa, Cassia fistula, Cassia marginata [Cassia roxburghii], Chloroxylon swietenia, Diospyros montana, Drypetes sepiaria. Note cards include date, time, film no., place, location, photo no., series and subjects. Subject information is entered in numbered lists. Each note card includes images described by information on the card.
