Abstract

The diary documents Andrew Caudell's field work during 1914. Dated entries include narratives that describe collecting conditions, names of colleagues with whom collected, location, and time. These are followed or preceded by specimen lists that include number, locality, date, type (binomial), and remarks. Remarks sometimes give additional location information. Diary entries cover July 25 - November 17, 1914. Collecting occurred in northern Virginia and District of Columbia.
