PrintThis item consists of the photocopied field notes of Dennis L. Stadel created during his work with the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey in 1964. The field notes document Stadel's work counting, banding, and collecting birds in Hawaii and Midway Island. Represented to a lesser extent is Stadel's work observing, trapping, and conducting autopsies on rats and mice; and creating census counts of seals. Interspersed with field notes are personal travel accounts and reflections. Some drawings are included, possibly of bird burrows.
