Abstract

The notebook documents field work conducted by Roger Clapp on the islands of Canton [Kanton], Hull [Orona], Enderbury, and Gardner, March 23 - 30, 1975. Also includes rats recorded on Enderbury Island, 9/30/1974. Pages are numbered (23 - 38). Entries are dated and sometimes narrative in style, describing travel details including arrival and departure times, work completed including by colleagues, observations of birds (population estimates, behavior, location of colonies), and other fauna (e.g. dogs, cats, rats).
