The notebook documents color phases of the Red-footed Booby, possibly as part of the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, 1964 - 1965. The first page includes a list of bird band numbers for November 1964 on Enderbury Island. Table entries include prefix, band # (nonconsecutive), island, date, age, sex, wing mms., weight gms., breeding status, bill, iris, legs & feet, gular skin, head, back, rump, upper tail covers, tail, wing, under side, and breast band. Some sections are headed with "soft parts" and "color phase". There are loose inserts of notes. Much of the notebook is blank. There is a folder of typed notes and data for Oahu and Kauai during 1965. Locations include the islands of Howland, McKean, Phoenix [Rawaki], Enderbury, Palmyra, and Jarvis.
