Abstract

The band catalog documents work completed for part of SIC trip #19 on the islands of Phoenix [Rawaki], Line, and Howland, during June 14 - July 17, 1968. Entries are headed with date, location, and type (new banding or returns) followed by band numbers, type of bird, nest (sometimes number of eggs), as well as unidentified information. A portion of the notebook is blank. There are notes entered from the back of the volume that include a table with field number, date coll., species, coll., and remarks. Remarks tend to be extensive with information about condition, measurements of organs, presence of fat, and weight. Islands include Jarvis, Malden, Starbuck, Enderbury, McKean, and Sydney [Manra].
