PrintThe field book documents the work of Roger Clapp completed on islands of Baker, Phoenix [Rawaki], and Line, during the SIC Trip #14 July 12 - August 17, 1966. Pages are numbered. Work was completed for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey. Includes a variety of content. There are population estimates as well as a table of data for returns with band number, age, sex, originally banded on, date, distance, status of bird, interval months, and in green book of Howland sera. There are also shorebird and nest counts; lists of bird band numbers organized by type of bird and headed with date and location; lists by type of bird with sex, age, location, and sometimes band number. Occasionally there are details about nesting and presence of eggs or chicks. There are notes on blood samples taken, listing band number, location, date.
