Abstract

The field book documents the work of Roger Clapp as part of the SIC Trip #11 to Baker, Howland, Phoenix [Rawaki], and Line Islands, February 5 - March 14, 1966. Work was completed for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey. A loose insert indicates that clips were originally utilized to indicate location of the following misread bands (524-77448, 514-10661, 524-76481). Entries include details about bands issued, organized by island location as well as nest surveys by date and type of bird. Later entries are dated, and give locations, followed by type of bird (common name), and bird band number. Some specify if bird is an adult or nestling. A large portion of the notebook is blank. Islands include Enderbury, Baker, Motu Upua, Motu Tabu, and Christmas [Kiritimati].
