Abstract

The field book documents the field work of Roger Clapp on Kure Island, December 9, 1963 - February 20, 1965. Includes entries by other collectors (possibly Robert R. Fleet), some not identified. Work was completed for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey. The notebook includes dated entries with various types of information. Most are short in length. Some include counts per type of bird banded and / or recovered, listed for various types of pelagic birds (by common name). Also lists days when activity studies and vegetation studies were conducted and completed. Additionally, there are notes on specimens collected or seen for 1964, listing location, quantity, and type (usually common name); lists of activities completed per participant.
