Abstract

The field book documents the field work of Roger Clapp in Hawaiian Islands and Phoenix Islands, June 7 - 25, July 7 - 16, 1963. Work was completed for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey. The book includes entries that are dated, and include location, bird band number ranges and related information (type, age, whether nesting). There are also counts of eggs, notes on band recovery, unfinished strings, and nesting data. There are hand written maps with locations of birds indicated. These include French Frigate Shoals, East Island, Whale Island, Southeast Island, Howland Island, and Enderbury Island.
