Abstract

This item consists of the photocopied field notes and species accounts of Fred Sibley from his work with the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey from 1963 to 1965. His notes document his experiences observing and collecting birds in American Samoa, Cook Islands, Christmas Island, and Howland Island. Included are his observations of bird nests and eggs, and several charts indicating nest count, egg count, and egg size are interspersed in the notes.
