Abstract

This item consists of a folder of data collected at sea by Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program staff, on the Eastern Area Cruises 38, 39, and 40, aboard the Sioux City, 1968. Materials include: bird observation data sheets, fix data sheets, and a list of birds collected. Bird observation sheets include time, species, #, dir., specimen or band no., and remarks. Remarks include physical descriptions of birds (colors, size, maturity), flock size, and behavior (sitting on water, feeding, calling, etc.). Fix data sheets include: ship, date, sunrise (time, lat., long.), sunset (time, lat., long.), total miles traveled, position (time, lat., long), and course or speed change. Also included are typed photocopied preliminary reports.
