Abstract

The materials document Suzanne Ripley's observations of primates during the Smithsonian Primate Survey, 1968 - 1970. Materials include maps with hand written notations as well as hand written and typed (possibly transcribed) notes. Maps show a day of troop A/B movements with notes relating to time of day. The day's observation narrative style notes are alongside same day's map. These notes are organized by time of day and describe vegetation, individual's behaviors and interactions. Individuals are often given names. Some observations are recorded by the minute.
