Abstract

This item consists of a folder of data collected at sea by Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program staff, on the Eastern Area Cruise 22, aboard the USS Hall, 1967. Materials include: weather observation data sheets, fix data sheets, and bird observation data sheets. Weather observation data sheets recordings for: date, time, winds, visibility, barometer, temperature, clouds, sea water temp., sea saves, and swell waves. Typed copies of daily weather reports include: synoptic situation and forecasts. Fix data sheets include: ship, date, sunrise (time, lat., long.) sunset (time, lat., long.), total miles traveled, position (time, lat., long), and course or speed change. Bird observation sheets include time, species, #, dir., specimen or band no., and remarks. Remarks include physical descriptions of birds (colors, size, maturity), flock size, and behavior (sitting on water, feeding, calling, etc.). Also included is a typed photocopied report.
