Abstract

This item consists of a folder of data collected at sea by Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program staff, on the Eastern Area Cruise 17, aboard the USS Hall, 1967. Materials include: bird observation sheets and fix data sheets. Bird observation sheets include time, species, #, dir., specimen or band no., and remarks. Remarks include physical descriptions of birds (colors, size, maturity), flock size, and behavior (sitting on water, feeding, calling, etc.). Fix data sheets include: date, ship, cruise no., sunset, position (lat and long), miles traveled from sunrise to sunset, hourly positions. Also included is a typed preliminary report.
